Fox Creek Residence

Location: Victor, Idaho

Size: 2,400 SF

Status: Completed Fall 2023.

Sustainability: Net Zero Energy Ready Design.

Project Description: Nicknamed “sauvage” by the owners, this project is all about connecting its inhabitants to what is wild while simultaneously minimizing its impact on the planet. Fox Creek and its wildlife corridor run through north half of the property. The house is situated in its south facing sage brush meadow to take advantage of solar access, highlight views of the Bighole mountains and preserve the north corridor for the elk, moose, deer, bears and wolves that are known to travel along the creek. Natural materials such as yakisugi cedar, white oak and basalt tile bathe in the natural light that is let through the home’s high-performance façade.
